Ridgecrest Regional Hospital is the local hospital that has an emergency room, outpatient pavilion and intensive care unit.

Ridgecrest also has a local college that is great for local students. Cerro Coso Community College has a daycare, new library and provides the general education classes needed to get a AA degree. There is also a baseball and basketball team. Recently the college installed a solar power system.
