Inyokern consists of two churches, a post office, market and gas station, hardware store, welding and blacksmith shop, a county park with living grass and trees, two restaurants, a motel, an autobody shop and several antique shops.

The Inyokern Airport is a place for local flyers to stop and get fuel, has an Avis Rent A Car or Dollar Car Rental, Skywest Airlines, commercials are frequently filmed here as well.

Bernardino's Restaurant is a great place to eat if you are looking for good Mexican food. It is located on Inyokern Rd. Down the street from Inyokern Airport.

Sierra Cocktails is another place to eat where you can grill your own steaks, chicken or hamburgers on their outside grill if you want.
