Inyokern Real Estate
As you are driving towards your newly purchased Inyokern real estate, it is easy to get distracted by the view. One of the most prominent vistas throughout the unincorporated community is Owens Peak which juts out at an elevation of nearly 8,500 feet. During the cooler months, the roads come to life with beautiful wild flowers in bloom. Such are the gifts of desert living.
In the past, Inyokern real estate was home to the few who chose to live by the Southern Pacific Railroad. Back then, the town along the Lone Pine Branch was focused primarily on agriculture. Throughout the years, Inyokern welcomed progress, first with the Owens Valley Aqueduct and decades later with the then new Navy warfare center. Years later, the Navy base was moved to its present location in the China Lake/Ridgecrest area.
Present day Inyokern maintains a small town feel. Today, it serves primarily as a bedroom community for those who work at NAWS China Lake and for families who prefer to live outside Ridgecrest. Occupying a total area of 11.1 square miles, Inyokern has a couple of churches, a market, a number of antique shops, and a park, among other things.
If you are after small town living close to big recreational draws, I would recommend purchasing Inyokern real estate. Whether you are PCSing to the area or are seeking a comfortable retirement retreat, I can assist you. Contact me, Ronnie Corley at anytime at (760) 375-9500.
